The external form, contours, or outline of someone or something. Freedom from representational qualities in art.
•A
shape is an area enclosed by a line. It could be just an outline or it could be
shaded in.
•Shapes
can be either geometric, like a circle, square or triangle,
or irregular.
•When
drawing shapes, you must consider the size and position as well as the shape of
the area around it. The shapes created in the spaces between shapes are
referred to as negative space.

This image appears rather artistic although one
could argue that it is perhaps objectification due
to there being a nipple on show. There is a lot of
negative space in this image, particularly around
the models skin and face. I do not believe its
particularly objectified as everyone has nipples
and they aren't necessarily sexual objects.
